Labor Day in LA … What to do and… Where to go

Staying in L.A. for Labor Day? Tha’ts great because the city of Angels has plenty in store for Angelenos.

Want to catch a play? Don’t miss your chance at Griffith Park. Shows begin at 7pm and are completely free. You can catch the very last showings of “Mid Summer Nights Dream” this weekend. It’s a fun time, you can bring as many people as you like, and set yourself up for a great time by bringing snacks and wine. Tip: Make sure you bring blankets to lay on! We also suggest getting their early to grab a good spot on the lawn.

Need a little beach in your life? Give yourself a staycation and book yourself into the Marina Del Rey hotel. Their restaurant, Salt, is top notch and you can watch the boats sailing into the harbor. They also have a wonderful pool with drinks available via cabanas and loungers. It’s a great staycation escape. If you’re staying awhile, you can also rent bikes and hit up the easily traversable bike paths by the beaches to sight-see.

Indulge and feed your inner Foodie. The Los Angeles Times’ Taste LA is back and they’re taking over the Paramount Studios backlot with some of the best fare available in the entire city.

Want an adventure and a foodie paradise? Take a drive to Santa Anita and enjoy the 626 Night Market. The midnight snacker’s greatest fantasy is just a car ride away. One of America’s largest Asian food markets spans the course of Santa Anita Park’s front Paddock Gardens. Come hungry and come caffeinated! This lively market, complete with over 150 Asian street food and booze peddlers, live music, artists, films, games, and beyond, won’t put itself to bed until 1am on Friday and Saturday (midnight on Sunday.)
