If you love musicals and want to kick off your week off with a smile on your face check out Rooftop Cinema’s Mamma Mia screening in downtown LA’s Arts District. Rooftop cinema is known for its excellent film choices and a steady supply of snacks as well as their bar. Rooftop Cinema Club is your snazzy, comfortable and less stressful alternative to other outdoor movie screenings. You don’t even need to bring your own camping chair—Rooftop Cinema Club provides you with your very own comfy lawn chair (though you’ll need to bring your own blanket for the ultimate cozy experience). And instead of listening to the movie over loudspeakers, you’ll get a set of wireless headphones so you never have to miss a word. Love it! Rooftop Cinema Club also has locations in downtown LA and el Segundo as well. You can snag a ticket to screenings here.

Love art? Why not check out the new Basquiat exhibit that has landed in Los Angeles? This curated collection is the first exhibition presented by Jean-Michel Basquiat’s family, featuring over 200 rarely-seen works. The exhibition opened Friday, March 31st and runs through July. Why wait? This is an art lover’s Sunday adventure (The Broad is normally closed on Mondays). Plus you’ll see rare and unique pieces, not just his most famous works. You can get your tickets here.

Have a group of last minute friends or family popped in for the weekend? Why not check out The Escape Game. This escape room is located in century city and is a sure blast for everyone participating. Participants can choose from one of four themes—The Heist, Special Ops, Prison Break or The Depths with three difficulty levels and unlimited hints. Each set is more immersive than ever and completely interactive and designed in-house with handmade props and expertly crafted storylines. You can snag your tickets here.

Of course there is no California without the beach. If you dare to brave the crowds this Monday you can always enjoy a Malibu beach day, or hit Hermosa beach for a little more activity like six-man. Don’t forget to pack your sunscreen and hydrate.

Let us know what you get up to this Memorial Day.
