The Los Angeles Public Library is planning a phased re-opening for many of its branches. The 37 branches opening will begin their in-person operations as of May 3rd.
Libraries will offer select services that may include quick browsing, computer access, pickup of holds and mobile printing orders, checking out of materials inside libraries, and Library To Go contactless pickup service. For a complete list of libraries and the services offered at each location, please visit lapl.org/reopening. Follow #LAPLreopen for all updates. This is the second phase in an ongoing reopening plan that is gradually restoring
library services following the closure of all libraries last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Los Angeles Public Library serves the largest and most diverse urban population of any library in the nation through 73 libraries, more than 6 million books, and resources available at lapl.org.
