Did the casting announcement surprise you? Was it a sweet Valentines Day treat? Get ready because it’s official, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn will star as Marvel’s first family in Fantastic Four. After many iterations of getting this series so sooo wrong (we loved Jessica Alba and Chris Evans) but it’s been a series of meh storylines for one of the most beloved comics in all of Marvel. Now, it looks like Marvel Studios is looking to rectify the timeline with this new grouping.

It had been previously revealed that Pedro Pascal was tapped to star as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in the feature, while the others had been heavily rumored in recent months. Vanessa Kirby will star as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, while Joseph Quinn will play her brother, Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will star as Ben Grimm/The Thing.

The Fantastic Four film has a new release date of July 25, 2025. The script hails from WandaVision director Matt Shakman. Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer penned a draft of the script, with Avatar: The Way of Water scribe Josh Friedman working on a version, as well.

The Fantastic Four are a cornerstone and ultimate building block of the Marvel mythos. Writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby introduced the team in 1961’s Fantastic Four No. 1, the comic that would launch the Marvel Universe.
