Marvel is temporarily shutting down production in Atlanta, for Blade, where the project was to have shot starting in November. Instead the production is now conducting a search for a filmmaker and to further develop the story. Blade was set to star Oscar winning actor Mahershala Ali, who is still attached to the project (as of now). Marvel Studios is hoping to restart the production in early 2023. Blade currently has a release date of Nov. 3, 2023, but it looks unlikely to be ready by then.

Crew members were notified of the shut down for production this past Tuesday.
