Mistletoe Magic To Benefit American Diabetes Association Tonight!

Media moguls Mariah Darshá , TrendyMii , and Bianca Bee are joining forces to help raise awareness for diabetes research with their black-tie event, Mistletoe Magic, taking place this evening.

The goal of Mistletoe Magic is to bring awareness to the effects of diabetes, particularly within children and their families. These influencers are combining their audiences to facilitate a toy drive that will benefit the American Diabetes Association.

The toys will go towards the association’s annual summer camp for kids from all across America who take part in the ADA’s prevention programs. Guests who attend and bring a new, unwrapped active toy (jump ropes, basketballs, etc.) to donate will receive a sponsored Christmas stocking with special holiday treats.

The night will feature music by DJ Finese along with a curated photo booth, holiday ornament making station, hourly giveaways, hor d’oeuvres, and specialty drinks. Vendors will also be on-site promoting wellness and healthy eating lifestyles.

Mariah Darshá, TrendyMii, and Bianca Bee are each individually affected by Diabetes within their own families and thought that it was important they use their scope of influence for something far greater than themselves. They want to further prove the notion that female empowerment and unity can make distinct strides of change for a good cause.

TrendyMii founder, Kiera Renee shared, ” I was with my sister when she was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes, and the first thing the doctor did was change her diet. So when the American Diabetes Association asked us to donate to their Summer Diabetes Prevention Camps, I immediately said yes. I know the importance of bringing awareness to this silent disease that effects a life every 21 seconds, and we get to gift children with the knowledge to prevent the disease themselves.”

As for Mariah Darsha, “For me, it’s important to create events like this because raising awareness to a disease that is so common in our community needs more attention. The Mistletoe Magic platform will help educate individuals about the genetic details of Diabetes within families and that leading healthier lifestyles by choosing better eating habits is extremely important.”

“The ADA is dear to me because my grandmother has type 2 diabetes and it runs in my family. My health was personally at risk of diabetic symptoms, so I changed my eating and lifestyle habits around by becoming a vegetarian. I’m going on my 5th year of no meat this January and this is the happiest I’ve been and felt about my body. I’ve also helped my grandmother transition into healthier eating habits, and she has safely lost 35 pounds over the course of changing her diet,” shared Bianca Bee.

Mistletoe Magic will be held at Rain Bar & Lounge (12215 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604) with red carpet interviews starting at 7:00pm and the event lasting until midnight.
