Bar 210 inside the infamous Beverly Hilton Hotel was the setting for a 2-day Movie Awards Eco Lounge in honor of the 2014 MTV Movie Award Nominees and Coachella Music & Arts Festival. The event captured the essence of both events with glam and rock worlds colliding to create a memorable experience for both guys and gals.

The Southmore Group served up delicious cocktails (mine tasted like a delicious cherry snow cone) and Circa 55 indulged guests with amazing California farm-table appetizers. Vanderpump Rules DJ Duo Mike Shay and James Kennedy along with DJ Marshall Raymond kept the party going with their trendy tunes. Event producer Debbie Durkin sure knows how to throw a great party!

Many stars came out in support of the event. Attendees included MTV Movie Awards Nominee for Breakthrough Performance Liam James; Playboy Playmate/Reality Star Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett; Vanderpump Rule’s co-stars Scheana Marie and Kristen Doute; Once Upon A Time’s Raphael Sbarge; Breaking Bad’s Jeremiah Bitsui; MTV stars Nev Schulman, Jillian Rose Reed, and Nikki Deloach.

Though there were several movie and TV stars in attendance, the real stars of the show were the kittens. American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and Fresh Step Cat Litter joined forces to raise money for our furry friends and even managed to find several wonderful new homes to kittens in need. Now if that doesn’t make you all warm and fuzzy I don’t know what will.

Being a socially conscious consumer, I was excited to see what kind of luxury eco-products would be featured at the event. I made my rounds and was excited with all of the new things I discover. I absolutely loved talking with Lida from The Eyebrow Boutique. We chatted about the art of eyebrow shaping and she lent her talents to my unruly brows and what a difference she made! I would highly recommend making a trip to visit her in Glendale. Tattoo artist Adam Daniel of Perri Tattoo’s was there ready to design complimentary tattoo’s for guests. I was tempted to join in and get my first tattoo, but alas, I was too chicken and my body remains ink free.

I left the event with an amazing goody bag filled with wonderful eco-friendly products. Some of my favorites include an indulgent pink grapefruit sugar scrub and a divine lavender body soap packed with essential oils from Transcend Organics. Another must try is the white coconut creme white tea fusions from Pooki’s Mahi. They are so delicious! I’m also totally in love with Loree Rodkin’s sensuous and earthy fragrance and I’ve been wearing it ever day since the event! So friends, do yourself and our planet a favor and support these eco-friendly brands.MTVEcoLoungeGifts
