V-Day also know as Valentines day is fast approaching. To take the stress out of planning the big day, we’ve hunted down some of the best plans you can make for Valentines in the City of Angels.
We’ve mentioned Warrior before in our Dinner Diaries series, their downstairs is known as The Choo Choo Cocktail Club to those in the know. Well if you didn’t know, we’re putting you in the know with their upcoming V-Day event. Join The Choo Choo Room for their ‘Broken Hearts Club Event’. What is Broken Hearts Club you ask? It is an evening of expert cocktails with Tarot Card readings alongside a poem composed on your personalized postcard. You can mail it to someone or keep it close to your heart. The event takes place from 9pm-2am and tunes will be spun by none other than Nala and William Reed. Jeana Ramona will be doing the Tarot readings, we recommend getting their early to snag your spot. You can also head upstairs beforehand to enjoy a special Valentines Day menu at Warrior curated by their executive chef Hung Hunyh. This menu is only available for Valentines as a special for all you love birds, or anyone deciding to celebrate “Galentines” day.
Warrior Dinner Menu:
App: Beet Salad with Hearts of Palm
Entree: Surf and Turf: Filet and Lobster with roasted Beijing potatoes
Dessert: Double Chocolate cake, honey ice cream and assorted macaroons.
Looking for something a bit more low key? Want to head towards the beach? Check out Canary in Santa Monica for Valentines Day. Enjoy a moonlit walk on the beach and then head to Canary to try one of their amazing cocktails. We recommend their Sherry Baby cocktail which is as beautiful as it is flavorful.
Really want to go all out for Valentines Day 2020? Check out the newly renovated Mondrian Hotel on the infamous Sunset Strip. Check into your lover’s escape at Mondrian Los Angeles and allow them to cross all the X’s and all the O’s of your top romantic fantasies. The new sleek designs of their newly renovated rooms feature peak-through showers, intimate lighting and whimsical vibes. Step out of your luxurious room to sip on chilled champagne and indulge on a sweet dessert shared for two at Skybar while taking in the city views. The Mondrian overlooks stunning hillside views of Los Angeles, we can’t think of a better staycation escape for Valentines.
