Music Crush Monday: Tate Mcrae ‘So Close to What’ Album Release on February 21st

Popstar Tate Mcrae is releasing her third studio album, ‘So Close to What,’ on February 21st, 2025.

The popular singer is just as excited as her fans, and said on Instagram a week ago, “My album is out in 2 weeks I’m gonna puke.”

Mcrae has already released a single and music video for her song, ‘Sports Car,’ off of the upcoming album. The song has over 69 million streams on Spotify and 9.4 million views on YouTube.

The singer has also announced an early album release party on February 20th, at the Kia Forum parking lot. Tickets were sold on Ticketmaster by request only, and all funds will be donated to LA fire relief, to support the FireAid organization.

“I am ready to book a flight to LA,” says a fan on Instagram. “Just please accept me.”

Tate Mcrae announced her first world arena tour, the ‘Miss Possessive Tour,’ back in November, with shows starting in March until the end of September 2025.

A few weeks later the singer posted to Instagram, “MY 1ST ARENA TOUR. SOLD OUT. THANK YOU… what is life……. I LOVE U GUYS.”

‘So Close to What’ will be released at midnight on February 21st local time, on all streaming platforms.
