The Backseat Lovers hit LA on November 16th for a sold out show at the iconic Wiltern venue.
The Backseat Lovers is a young indie rock band from Heber City and Sandy, UT. Their new album Waiting to Spill is out now. The band plays a more intimate kind of indie rock which is perfect in The Wiltern venue. The smaller venue size, and close knit atmosphere make for a perfect haven for the type of music and vibe they’ve created. Honestly, their tunes are a staple in any indie rockband playlist. Joshua Harmon, the band’s lead vocalist, was so interactive and charming with his fans, it’s easy to see all the members comraderies with one another and the audience. It’s the type of synergy that draws people in, it’s no wonder they’ve grown such dedicated fans in addition to putting out great tunes. Even though we love the new album and singles, we can’t deny we still have a soft spot for their 2019 breakout-ish hit “Kilby Girl.” It takes you back if you’re older as they sing their hearts out about a 19 year old girl. Who hasn’t been there? There is something so organic about the band, and they’re a breath of fresh air because this isn’t a social media driven sound, its raw music from obvious working musicians and it takes you back to the early 00’s and the great indie rock bands that broke into the majors dominating radio airwaves. Let us know what you think of The Backseat Lovers.
