The Jonas Brothers are jumping into the Korean Wave by joining TXT on their latest single “Do It Like That.”
A surprising collaboration no one saw coming! Tomorrow X Together also known as TXT is joining forces with the Jonas Brothers to release “Do It Like That.” This dance happy cathcy single is completly in English which gives us a twinge of sadness that K-Pop is being over translated, it would’ve been awesome to see The Jonas Brothers land a few lines in Korean to pay homage to K-pop. K-Pop has dominated the popular charts for years and nothing mattered when it came to language, the beats, moves and sound have made the genre cross barriers that had kept it insulated, we hope that never changes. If performers in South Korea strive to learn English we’d like to see global artists strive to learn Korean for future song collabs.
Language aside, the track in insanely catchy. “Do It Like That” is produced by Ryan Tedder, mainly known as One Republic’s producer for songs like “Counting Stars.” This latest collaborative single is aiming to snag the airwaves as a major summer hit. Consisting of five members Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai, is one of the most famous 4th generation K-pop groups under Bighit Music, the company behind global super stars BTS.
Let us know what you think of this latest track and collaboration. We’re definitely adding it to our music playlist for summer.
