NICHOLAS SPARKS’ THE NOTEBOOK’ IS COMING TO THE SMALL SCREEN ON CW

Nicholas Sparks fans, get ready to grab a box of Kleenex! The CW is in the process of developing an upcoming series based off of the popular film and novel, “The Notebook”.

As much as we loved The Notebook as a film, we aren’t sure that a television adaptation is the best idea.

The series plans to follow Noah and Allie’s developing relationship throughout all the chaos that surrounds them in the late 1940’s in North Carolina. Additionally, the series will most likely not feature the elderly versions of Noah and Allie.

Currently, the upcoming project is in the early stages of development. If the series is greenlit, it will air after hit series “Reign”—making it a period-themed night.

Nicholas Sparks is set to serve as the projects executive producer alongside Theresa Park. Todd Graft will serve as the shows writer and producer. “The Notebook” will be associated with Nicholas Sparks Productions and Warner Bros. Television.

No offense, but we don’t think anyone can portray one of our favorite couples in cinematic history better than Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling. What do you guys think about the possibility of “The Notebook” being adapted for the small screen? Leave your comments below!
