Calling all lovers of Hot Ones, we’ve got Chef Jason Fullilove on deck and his incredible hot sauces by his new brand Tumie Coco.
Chef Jason Fullilove’s role as the executive chef of Norma in West Hollywood has further solidified his status as one to watch in the culinary space. It should come as no surprise that he has launched his own brand, though we were quite pleasantly surprised to discover his hot sauces. His background has taken him through the high profile kitchens NYC, The Ritz Carlton in St. Thomas and more. It honed his skills and his love of fresh local ingredients which you can immediately taste when enjoying his hot sauces. The bottles are so fun and remind us of a trip to the Caribbean and range in price from $8-$10.
We had the privilege of enjoying them on chicken and it was beyond a ten out of ten experience. Chef Fullilove has an entire cookbook just packed with recipes waiting to be discovered and you can nab them on the Tumie Coco website. At such an affordable price we’re ready to run off into the sunset with the whole lot of it.
Since we’re currently in summer one of our favorite recipes from his cookbook which is absolutely delicious is his Tumie Coco grilled peach and heirloom tomato salad. Chef Fullilove very creatively uses it in his vinaigrette. We would have never thought to be so creative as to put hot sauce in our salad dressing! It was so good and honestly the recipe could be used on a variety of salads not just this grilled peach, though the sweetness cut the spice for such a nice flavor pairing.
What do you think? Let us know creative ways you would like to use your hot sauce and if you have his new cookbook which your favorite recipe is.
