Oprah Winfrey Tapped To Open Project Angel Food’s ‘Lead With Love’ Telethon

Oprah might be the Queen of celebrities using their fame for charity and good, and in her latest philanthropic endeavor, Oprah will be leading Project Angel Food’s Lead With Love Telethon.

Project Angel Food’s Lead with Love 3 will be presented by City National Bank and will be airing live on KTLA 5 on July 23. If you havent heard of the organization, Project Angel Food premiered in June 2020, their telethon Lead with Love has raised $2 million for Project Angel Food’s work of feeding critically ill men, women and children in Los Angeles County. The organization prepares and delivers more than 1.2 million medically tailored meals each year.

“Oprah delivers a powerful opening to our show, encouraging us all to rise to the challenge of our current moment through compassion and empathy that has a lasting impact on our community,” said executive producer Brad Bessey who also serves as head of communications and talent relations for Project Angel Food.
