Paramount’s ‘Arrival’ Strikes a Chord On the Need for Acceptance

In honor of the upcoming release of Paramount’s film “Arrival” starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, and Forest Whitaker, the studio put strangers in a room together who don’t speak the same language, with the task of finding what they have in common.

This ‘experiment’ came from the the theme central to the new movie in which humanity must find a way to communicate with visitors from outer space.

In Arrival, when a  mysterious spacecraft touches down across the globe, an elite team – lead by expert linguist LouisArrival _ Film Postere Banks (Amy Adams) – are brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers – and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.

While the theme of human- alien interaction is far from new, the trailer has us intrigued! Moreover this human experiment brought a tear to our eye reminding us that no matter where you are from, or what language you speak, there are always commonalities that tie us together.

Perhaps this movie, which opens November 11th, couldn’t have come at a better time, as our nation has been tested during the recent election season to take a good hard look at our issues concerning diversity, immigration, and acceptance of others.

We can’t wait to see the film!
