PIECES OF HEAVEN ART AUCTION

The Art of Elysium held it’s fifth annual ‘Pieces of Heaven’ art auction in conjunction with Christie’s at Smashbox Studios last night. The event raised funds for the charity and brought out celebrities, artists, and art collectors in support of a great cause.

Guests enjoyed music, a Smashbox make-up touch up bar, cocktails (champagne, wine, and Veev mojitos), and hors d’oeuvres while bidding on a showcase of over 80 works of art. The space was impressive and the art work was nicely displayed and lit. The pieces were donated by artists, private collectors, and dealers and featured names including Andy Warhol,  Shepard Faiery, and John Baldesssari. The event featured a red carpet, an addition this year, and both the general bidding and select pieces as a part of a silent auction.

The Art of Elysium organization encourages working actors, artists and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions and this event is one of their key fundraisers of the year.

Jennifer Howell, the founder of The Art of Elysium, was on hand to greet and mingle with guests. Celebrity supporters, most of whom are familiar faces at Elysium events, included Ali Larter & husband Hayes MacArthur, Alicia Witt, Sophia Bush, Beau Dunn, Sarah Scott, Caroline D’Amore, Teresa Palmer, Topher Grace, Cameron Silver, Chris Masterson, Kathleen Robertson, Petra Nemcova, and Shanola Hampton.

The host committee for the event includes Eli Consilvio, Nicole Dungao, Claressinka Anderson, Joslin Van Arsdale, Adarsha Benjamin, Sonny Ruscha Bjornson, William Eggleston III, Veronica Fernandez, Guy Hepner, Meredith Hudson, Rama Mayo, Mieke Marple, Nancy Meyers, Davida Nemeroff, Darren Romanelli, Nathan Wong, and President of Christie’s Los Angeles Andrea Fiuczynski.
