PPLA attened International Myeloma Foundation’s (IMF) 6th Annual Comedy Celebration benefiting the Peter Boyle Research Fund and hosted by Ray Romano. The event aimed to raise awareness and funds for IMF reasearch, a bone marrow cancer, through a night of comedy and music that included performances, a silent auction, and cocktail reception at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre & Club.
Comics including Jeff Garlin, Judy Gold, Gilbert Gottfried, Fred Willard, Dom Irrera, and Doris Roberts took the stage to pay tribute to Peter Boyle and the evening concluded with a musical performance by Joe Walsh. It was a tribute to the memory of Boyle (Everybody Loves Raymond) who died in 2006 after a four year battle with myeloma. More than $3 million dollars has been raised for the Peter Boyle Research Fund thus far through this annual event, now in its sixth year.
Guests included friends and supports like Blythe Danner, Lily Rabe, Peter Gallagher, Teri Garr, Alex Meneses, and Howard Hesseman, to name a few.
