Reggaetón Royalty Ivy Queen Joins Conciencia Collective in Solidarity with Black Lives Matter

Ivy Queen joins in to discuss the Black Lives Matter movement, on this week’s podcast, discussing race within the music industry.

Today’s discussion features Puerto Rican Reggaetón icons Ivy Queenwho has from the inception of her career been outspoken on an array of issues in a male dominated genre and Zion who has been very vocal about showing support to the Black community and Venezuelan freestyle artist Nakary, whose music focuses on empowering women in the industry and breaking the established norms for artists in the genre. The conversation will be moderated by Jesús Triviño, who is an authority on Latinx pop culture, a Webby-nominated content creator who has covered music, TV, film, and more for over 17 years as a reporter, editor, producer and curator and is a member of Conciencia Collective.
