SAG AWARDS BEAUTY AND GLAMOUR GIFTING LOUNGE SPONSORED BY NAKEAH COSMETICS

With the SAG Awards coming up, everyone will be buzzing about the fabulous red carpet fashion and beauty looks. Nakeah Cosmetics hosted a Beauty & Glamour Gifting Lounge where celebrities were invited to walk the pink carpet and get makeovers.

We got a chance to speak to Nakeah Fuller, the Founder of Nakeah Cosmetics. She said, “Nakeah Cosmetics is something I dreamed about when I was a little girl, about 12 years old. I envisioned it, living in Texas and I just saw a pink place in Los Angeles, California with lots of gorgeous women and men and here we are!” Nakeah Cosmetics was developed three years ago and launched to the public a year ago with future plans to expand to different cities. The space was beautifully decorated in pink and white colors, huge white mirrors on the wall, rhinestoned accents and of course makeup displayed everywhere. A girl can’t help but feel chic and glamorous when being there. Located behind the store is the All About FACE Academy, a private institution that offers professional makeup training. Nakeah Fuller is not only the founder of the cosmetics line but she’s also a makeup artist to the stars.

Some of the celebrities walking the pink carpet were: Lauren Potter (Glee), Isabella Palmieri (As The World Turns), Porcha Coleman (BET Host), Tiffney Cambridge (VH1’s Marrying The Game), Savannah Jayde (Big Time Rush) and more. We spoke to the cutest little actress, Portia Berman who will have upcoming roles on Fox’s New Girl. Portia will play the younger version of Zooey Deschanel’s character, Jess. We asked her if she liked makeup and she said, “It’s really hard to get off.” She left the event looking adorable with a fresh coat of yellow nail polish.

We asked celebs about their favorite beauty tips and what fashion trends they hope to see at the SAG Awards. Reality Star, Daphne Wayans (VH1’s Hollywood Exes) shared her beauty tip with us saying, “It’s really corny but I’m going to tell you that it’s lots of laughter and a good heart.” Daphne is looking forward to seeing women in peplum dresses and feminine, goddess-like dresses at the SAG Awards. Actress, Toks Olagundoye (The Neighbors on ABC/ABC Family) said, “My favorite thing is that I go nowhere without fake eyelashes. I think you have to pay attention to the eyes. A little bit of color and liner and little bit on the cheek and then you’re good.” As far as the fashion that she would like to see, Toks said, “I love people looking beautiful and I like it when people get dressed up and take pride in what they wear.”

It would have been a huge beauty sin to leave the event without trying out the products. I had the pleasure of getting my makeup done by one of the talented artists. She applied a natural look on me with a little bit of shimmer on the eye and a nude lip. I really loved the products and the final look! It didn’t even feel like I was wearing makeup. The products are all free of sulfates, parabens, and phthalates, not tested on animals and have a wide color selection to suit all skin types and ethnicities. The eye and lip colors have fun names such as: Foil, Freckles, Hollywood and Way Cool and many, many more.
