SAMMY ADAMS PLAYS THE EL REY THEATER: CONCERT REVIEW

Sammy Adams hit the stage at the historic El Rey Theater  this past weekend with opening act T. Mills. The native Boston rapper will be touring cities across the U.S. through the end of April wrapping things up at The Metro in my fave city, Chicago!

The crowd was a mix of all ages, with good reason. Sammy Adams grew to popularity while attending college in Connecticut. Most of his songs are your typical college party anthems. You know, the kind of music you listen to when you are out on your own for the first time, drinking like a fish, and inevitably going to make some bad decisions later that evening.

Sammy Adams also know as Samuel Adams Wisner has been involved with music most of his life. He began playing the piano at age seven and later began improvising and creating his own melodies. He had no intentions of becoming a rapper, he always focused on producing music for other artists.

This 25-year-old artist makes some pretty sick beats. He also likes to remix popular songs from other artist such as Asher Roth and Taylor Swift. Surprisingly, the crowd made the most noise when Sammy performed his remix of Taylor Swift’s “Trouble.” Maybe because there was an unexpected amount of underage girls there, all of whom probably love Taylor Swift and Sammy Adams, of course.
