On July 8th, The Sarah Robarts and Jenny Chandler Art Exhibit Open Studio Pop-up took place at The Enclave, a newly opened venue in LA. The stunning art pieces were displayed throughout the 10,000-square-foot space, accompanied by a sculpture by Yossi Govrin.
Event attendees were treated to delicious food, including tray-passed appetizers, a full bar, and a food truck from Heavy Handed. The guest list included notable figures such as Emily Cloke (US British Consul General), filmmakers, publishers, fashionistas, studio executives, and influencers.
Sarah Robarts has been a Palm Springs based artist since 2000, but was born in Uganda, raised in Kenya and has lived and painted in Israel, France, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Her work is often layered using mixed media and painted canvas and other surfaces. It is often a combination of the vibrant colors of Kenya and the distinct hues of Californian sunlight. You can see her work in iconic places including Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and The Los Angeles Zoo locally. In addition to being a painter, she runs the LA based PR firm, Ballantines PR.
Jenny Chandler hails from Alabama but has been passionately painting for the past decade in Southern California. Her artistic journey has taken her to prestigious art events and exhibitions, showcasing her vibrant and captivating works. Jenny has graced the New York Art Expo, the Art Fair San Fransisco, and New York Art Walk, gaining recognition for her unique artistic vision. Her work is anything but ordinary abstract, using primarily acrylic, each piece is composed of cohesive yet inconsistent movement and dimension.
