Scion held the last stop of their Motivatour event in Los Angeles at Smashbox Studios in Culver City and Press Pass LA was thrilled to attend!
The tour launched in Atlanta with stops in Chicago, Philadelphia and Las Vegas. Scion developed the Motivate program to help young entrepreneurs take their business to the next level. They put up and coming business moguls in the driver’s seat to pitch their plans and ideas to the founders of Rockit Ranch Productions, Kickstarter, Threadless, Avion Tequilla, Sprinkles Cupcakes and more.
Hosted by Comedian and best-selling author, Baratunde Thurston, the LA Motivatour attracted many aspiring and existing entrepreneurs that came out to network with other like-minded individuals.
The event was split into two groups of amazing speakers. Stage one consisted of Freya Estreller (Co-Founder of Ludlows Cocktail Co & Coolhaus); Brian Foley (CEO of Buddytruk); Ben Russo (EMC|Bowery) and John Terzian (Co-Founder of H. Wood Group). At Stage two, we had a chance to hear some great speeches by Marco Hansell II (Founder of Speakr & twtMob); Josh Gray-Emmer (CEO of BridGE); Beth Doane (Founder of Raintees) and Natasha Case (Co-Founder of Coolhaus).
The event ended with guests enjoying cocktails, food and music by 12 year-old, DJ Young 1. The Motivatour is a fresh concept that inspires and motivates entrepreneurs across the country to really go after what they want. For more information, visit: www.scion.com/motivatour.
