The Queen Mary has just added a second date to the SoCal’s newest country music festival ShipKicker, taking place at the Queen Mary’s Waterfront Event Park on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24. Country star, Parmalee, will headline Day 2!
Other top country favorites performing include The Railers, CJ Simmons, Pawnshop Kings, Justin Lee, Scotty Mac Band and more, yet to be announced!
Parmalee’s debut country album, Feels Like Carolina, earned the band critical praise from People, The New York Times, USA Today, Newsday, Billboard, to name a few. In 2014, Parmalee garnered a semi-finalist nod for the Academy of Country Music’s coveted “New Artist of the Year” award, a 2014 Teen Choice Award nomination for “Choice Country Group” and toured with one of country’s leading male vocalists, Jake Owen, on his Days Of Gold Tour. Parmalee’s latest hit, “Close Your Eyes,” recently became its second consecutive Top 3 hit at country radio. The band’s newest single, “Already Callin’ You Mine” hit country radio on Feb. 2, 2015.
The headliner for Saturday (Day 1) will be country music darling, Dustin Lynch alongside artists including Eric Paslay, Jukebox Mafia, River Road, Jay Hollister Band, Neil Morrow and Brian Lynn Jones & the Misfit Cowboys.
“There was such excitement surrounding the addition of ShipKicker to Queen Mary’s music festival schedule that we decided to offer concert goers a second day to see their favorite country music stars locally,” said Steve Sheldon, the Queen Mary’s Director of Entertainment Events.
ShipKicker will offer guests over 20 hours of the greatest live country music across two days in a row, with food vendors, a beer garden, cocktails, yard-games and wild bucking bull ride. Festival doors open at 1pm daily and the event welcomes country music fans of all ages.
