‘Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith’ is Making its Return to the Screen for 20th Anniversary Special

The iconic third movie of the ‘Star Wars’ series will be making its return to theaters, to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Lucasfilm announced that the film will be running in theaters all across the U.S., and in some international territories. Formats will include 4DX for the first time, and high tech motion chairs that will sync with over 21 effects to capture the full experience of the film.

The third movie in the saga follows Anakin Skywalker’s fall to the dark side as he becomes Darth Vader. Set during the final days of the Clone Wars, the film shows the Jedi’s struggle against the Separatists, eventually leading to the Republic’s collapse, and the rise of the Galactic Empire. Darth Vader becomes an apprentice to Emperor Palpatine, and Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda go into hiding.

The film stars superstar actors like Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, Frank Oz, and more. 

The 20th anniversary film will run in theaters for only one week starting April 25th, 2025.
