Sunday Brunch Club: Petite Taqueria

Petite Taqueria is a cozy little restaurant nestled on LaCienega in West Hollywood. This hidden gem has a warm and cozy vibe when you walk in, and a healthy Mexican fare inspired menu.

This Sunday Marissa and Myself opted to try their Kendall’s Smashed Guac as our appetizer. The guac was flavorful, and served with the perfect amount of chips. Theres nothing worse than any dip order with too few chips to enjoy it’s offerings in full. This is not your basic guac either, it was very flavorful with hints of lime, and other slight flavor variations that will leave you coming back for more. Have a bite and let us know what you think.

For our main entree we went with the Egg White Frittata, and Eggs Benny. The eggs benny were incredible. We couldn’t get over how they came on a pupusa! We would’ve never thought to pair the two dishes but it works! You can tell all the ingredients are fresh and cooked to perfection. The egg white frittata was just the right amount of food for brunch. It comes beautifully presented, with just enough goat cheese to sneak into every bite if you so desire. We’re huge goat cheese fans so diving into this frittata with fresh veggies and a dash of cheese was just the perfect combo for a little more bounce in our step.

Now, theres no such thing as no room for dessert, and this might be brunch but you absolutely cannot leave Petite Tacqueria without trying their Corn Pancakes. Can we get these in cake form??????? They were incredible and we almost abandoned everything else in lieu of them. We’ve never had the pleasure of trying corn pancakes, so the payoff was definitely worth it. We can’t stress enough how much you’re missing out on if you don’t order them for the table. They’re served with agave pancillo butter, which is slightly sweeter and more transparent than your regular butter, and it just the ingredient to truly bring this entire entree full circle. You won’t be disappointed. Make sure you order these, or you’re really just missing out.

Toast to you and I.

For drinks we tried their Mexican Coffee, and their regular coffee which were absolutely divine. If you want a bounce in your step, and some spirits to get your day going we recommend snagging a drink, as their bartenders are expert craft cocktail creators. We also tried their mimosa but there is a twist here. They have seasonal juices which change, and our mimosa was not your average Jane. Ask your server when you visit for their seasonal options on the mimosas and you could leave quite surprised and pleased at a new champagne + juice combo. Our server recommended we didn’t leave without a taste of their spicy margarita, and she wasn’t kidding. It’s so refreshing with a dash of spice. Who doesn’t want a little spicy action on their weekends? We can’t wait to see your food selections when you go, be sure to share.
