SYTYCD Celebrates Their 250th Episode!

So You Think You Can Dance | Next Generation kicked off the shows 250th episode this week.

SYTYCD has been a household favorite for years, it’s no surprise that SYTYCD is still going strong! Season after season Nigel Lythgoe and his team bring on the most incredible dancers, and choreographers leaving viewers with an awe inspiring appreciation of dance. Many a dancer has been drawn to the art because of SYTYCD. We were thrilled to be a part of the audience as they celebrated their big 250th episode and later joining the cast on their red carpet.

This season sees all-stars performing along with the young up and coming talent, who will be the choreographers, and dance stars of the near future. The 250th episode gave the younger performers a chance to take the reins and be large and in charge. From themes, choreography, to wardrobe designs everything was up to these mini mega dancers.

Our favorite performance from the night was Tahani Anderson and Comfort Fedoke’s hip hop routine to Missy Elliot’s ‘Where They From’. Although, the most impressive was the level of synchronization and style performed by tappers Emma Hellenkamp and Gaby Diaz. We’re not sure we will ever figure out how Kida Burns and Fik-Shun managed to flow across the stage while sitting during their hip hop performance choreographed by Kida but we’re obsessed!

Of course you can’t celebrate 250 episodes without asking judge Maddie Ziegler to perform! We loved her contemporary dance with Travis Wall, the only thing that could’ve possibly made it better would’ve been Paula Abdul joining the duo. It was spectacular nonetheless!
