A Three-Part Fashion Show Presented by Elyse Walker alongside a luncheon which supported the Women’s Guild Neurology Project took place this past week in Beverly Hills, California.
For more than 60 years, the Women’s Guild has supported world-class healthcare through research and innovation. Women’s Guild members have raised nearly $50 million in support of Cedars-Sinai’s most critical work, including Women’s Guild Chair in Gastroenterology, Women’s Guild Simulation Center for Advanced Clinical Skills, Women’s Guild Lung Institute, Saul and Joyce Brandman Breast Center–A Project of Women’s Guild at Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute, and the recently announced Women’s Guild Neurology Project. The project supports innovative research and education for the understanding and treatment of complex neurological disorders, including stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, ALS, dementias, epilepsy and migraines. At today’s luncheon, Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai President, Shelley Cooper, presented a $1 Million dollar check to Art Ochoa, VP of Advancement & Chief Advancement Officer, as the first installment towards Women’s Guild $7 million dollar pledge to Cedars-Sinai towards the Women’s Guild Neurology Project.
Brooke Burke, (TV Host, Author, CEO of Brooke Burke Body & ModernMom) hosted the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai annual red-carpet luncheon which included Cindy Crawford being presented her Women of Achievement Award by her daughter, Kaia Gerber and mother, Jennifer Maki. Elyse Walker was presented her Women of Achievement Award by friend, Molly Sims. The chic silent auction featured fine jewelry and designer handbags curated by Elyse Walker. Guests also enjoyed a fashion show which highlighted three distinct looks: A Color Story -The Season’s Most Wanted Color Palettes, LA Nights – Perfect Looks for a Night on the Town and Festive Fete – Best Dressed Attire for This Holiday Season were also presented by Elyse Walker. All of this was to benefit the hospital’s various women’s health research projects mentioned above. It’s always heartwarming to see celebrities giving back to the community.
