We can’t get enough of this behind the scenes tour of the Barbie DreamHouse that Architectural Digest snagged with star Margot Robbie as she walks us through the real life model Barbie home. All the touches and the thoughtful details of pink make your childhood Barbie home come to live. It is so thrilling to see this vision come alive. When Greta Gerwig was tasked with bringing these iconic childhood toys to life on the big screen, she enlisted the skills of production designer Sarah Greenwood and set decorator Katie Spencer. The designers took inspiration from Palm Springs midcentury modernism, which they’ve used to create a whimsical fuchsia pink fantasy where slides replace stairs, with not a wall in sight. Watching the tour of this impressive set it’s hard not to feel a rush of playful nostalgia

Additionally if you’ve been loving the Barbie trailer and all the wardrobe we’ve had a glimpse at, you’ll be ecstatic to know that Bloomingdales is releasing a limited Barbie collection with wardrobe pieces from the film itself. The entire collection is available online now. Bloomingdale’s in-house Aqua fashion brand has partnered with Mattel on an exclusive 26-piece movie-inspired capsule of women’s and girls’ clothing and accessories, which are now available online alongside licensed apparel, home goods and even more of the pink accessories seen onscreen. The Bloomingdale’s collab is priced from $55 to $118, the Barbie the Movie x Aqua ready-to-wear collection comprises embellished graphic tees, pink gingham bustier dresses, matching tweed jackets and blazers in blue scalloped and pink plaid silhouettes, bright red fit and flare dresses, striped tank tops and more. Barbie lovers can finish their looks with heart-shaped accessories such as crossbody bags with crystal fringe and earrings with pearl and gemstone embellishments. In addition to the collection being available online, the collection is also popping up at Bloomingdale’s stores from July 13-Aug. 24 in New York on 59th Street and in Los Angeles at Westfield Century City, where the Barbie DreamHouse will take over with a life-sized Barbie box, activations, window displays and more. Fans can shop the movie’s official dolls, as well as Barbie and Ken’s neon Impala roller skates from their Venice boardwalk stroll that became an overnight sensation after shots were leaked from onlookers.
