The Critics Choice Association presented the 2nd annual Celebration of Latino Cinema & Televisionon Sunday, November 13, 2022 at the Fairmont Century Plaza.
The Celebration of Latino Cinema & Television showcased standout Latino performances and work both onscreen and offscreen. A portion of the proceeds of the event will be donated to fund scholarships for Latine Artists participating in Sundance Collab, Sundance Institute’s digital online learning and community platform.
For this years’ honorees, the following were highlighted for their accomplishments; Laz Alonso (Actor Award for Television), Ana de Armas* (Actress Award for Film), Desi Arnaz (Icon Award) accepted by Lucie Arnaz*, Gloria Calderón Kellett (Producer Award for Television), Ismael Cruz Córdova (Breakthrough Actor Award for Television), Guillermo del Toro(Career Achievement Award), Cristo Fernández (Rising Star Award for Television presented by IMDbPro), Alejandro González Iñárritu (Director Award for Film), Santiago Mitre (International Film Award) accepted by Victoria Alonso, Jenna Ortega (Rising Star Award for Television presented by IMDbPro), Brandon Perea (Rising Star Award for Film presented by IMDbPro), Guillermo Rodriguez (Special Honoree Award), Catalina Sandino Moreno (Breakthrough Actress Award for Television), Gina Torres (Actress Award for Television); Host Justina Machado; Presenters Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, John Griffin, Jorge R.
