The Today’s Promises fundraiser helped raise awareness for the children in Haiti who were affected by the 2010 earthquake.
The poolside event auctioned off autographed memorabilia to guests, to give Haitian children all the materials they need to thrive. The auction had various auction items signed by different celebrities, Carrie Underwood and Katy Perry, are just a few who gave their signatures for a good cause. The auction also showcased different artworks for guests to bid on, the proceeds go to building a better future for the children. The creators of Today’s Promises shared insightful stories on the children, to allow guest to learn about Haiti, and why the charity fights so hard to give these children a better future.
Today’s Promises is a pending 501(c)3 organization and is a continuation of the work which was started by The Mission Light Church of Life in Haiti. After the 2010 earthquake, the Mission Light Church led by, the Estiverne family of Haiti established an orphanage for children. Most of the children had either lost their parents during the earthquake or were abandoned by their relatives. The entire Estiverne family works very hard to meet the basic needs of the children, but they did not have the sufficient resources, which is why they’ve launched Today’s Promises to ensure a brighter future.
