Little Fires Everywhere is the newest hit from Reese Witherspoon. Joining alongside Reese in this stellar cast is Kerry Washington, for a series you won’t be able to resist.
Little Fires Everywhere now has its first three episodes live on Hulu. The streamer dropped the first three to keep us all riveted and entertained while we’re in captivity. Little Fires Everywhere is a 2017 novel by American author Celeste Ng. Reese Witherspoon’s production company has turned the novel into a film, much like her previous endeavor’s this series dives into the complexities of society and the women who navigate its rules.
Hulu’s adaptation of Celeste Ng’s excellent novel is set in Shaker Heights, a real-life suburb of Cleveland (fun fact!). Little Fires Everywhere takes place in the ‘90s, following the well-to-do Richardson family, outlining the events that would lead to their house being burned down by their youngest daughter, Izzy (Megan Stott). This is the event that kicks off the show. The eight episodes that follow illustrate how the Richardsons got to a point where their home is being burned down. The events begin to unfold starting with the arrival of Mia Warren (Kerry Washington) and her daughter Pearl (Lexi Underwood), these are two characters who get hopelessly tangled in the Richardsons’ lives. Mia and Pearl both end up showcasing the worst traits of the Richardson’s as well as causing strife and conflict with their differing views.
