Mila Kunis is returning to our screens in the mystery thriller Luckiest Girl Alive.

Netflix’s latest feature Luckiest Girl Alive is another novel adaptation in a trend that is shaping up to deliver one hit movie after another on the streaming giant. With an entire department now devoted to acquiring the rights for book adaptation it can be no surprise that their Page to Screen tactics are paying off. Luckiest Girl Alive is based on the best-selling novel of the same title. The story follows Ani FaNelli (Mila Kunis), a sharp-tongued New Yorker who appears to have it all: a sought-after position at a glossy magazine, a killer wardrobe and a dream Nantucket wedding on the horizon. But when the director of a crime documentary invites her to tell her side of the shocking incident that took place when she was a teenager at the prestigious Brentley School, Ani is forced to confront a dark truth that threatens to unravel her meticulously crafted life. This upcoming October release is directed by Mike Barker.
