HBO is no stranger to sensation shows and from the looks of this trailer, The Idol is shaping up to be our next obsession.

The Idol boasts at star studded cast with The Weeknd, Lily-Rose Depp and even Jennie from Kpop sensation Black Pink coming into the foray of this story about the music industry. If you didn’t know, The Idol is an upcoming drama television series created by The Weeknd, Reza Fahim, and Sam Levinson for HBO. The series is set against the backdrop of the music industry, and will focus on a self-help guru who doubles as a leader of a modern-day cult. The story evolves as he enters into a complicated relationship with a rising pop idol.
