Tribeca Enterprises in partnership with IMAX and AT&T has today announced the unveiling of Tribeca Drive-In, a nationwide summer drive-in series that will roll out in markets across America featuring a curated selection of films as well as special music and sporting events.
The first Tribeca Drive-In experience is set to take place June 25th. You’ll be able to find full programming and ticket information in the coming weeks, as they roll out announcements. Just as Tribeca was founded to unify New York City in the aftermath of 9/11, Tribeca Drive-In seeks to strengthen and bring together audiences for a communal entertainment experience that is both fun and safe. For each Drive-In event, Tribeca will also collaborate with local vendors to support small businesses in those areas and ensure each event is reflective of the communities they are stationed in.
“It’s in our DNA to bring people together through the arts, showing strength and resiliency when the world needs it the most,” said Tribeca Enterprises and Tribeca Film Festival Co-Founder and CEO Jane Rosenthal. “At a time when people are eager to connect and convene again after months-long social distancing, we’re taking the spirit of Tribeca around the country by creating a safe environment where audiences can come together and enjoy the sense of connection found by going to the movies.”
“We’re excited to give people something to look forward to this summer and reinvent a classic moviegoing experience for communities to enjoy together safely,” added Tribeca Enterprises and Tribeca Film Festival Co-Founder Robert De Niro.
