We took a tour of Universal City Walk’s newest restaurants Vivo and Antojitos. From the food to the decor, Universal has spared no creativity in making them a must try for foodies everywhere.
The arrival of Antojitos Cocina Mexicana brings a festive Mexican flair to Universal CityWalk, offering a fresh take on classic Mexican cuisine in a vibrant, thematic setting the whole family can enjoy. Featuring an eclectic menu, Antojitos Cocina Mexicana invites guests to choose from a variety of freshly prepared signature dishes, handcrafted cocktails and over 150 tequilas. Antojitos also features three private dining rooms, live musicians on their patio, and sugar skull velvet wallpapers. The attention to details like the small skulls at the host station, really set it apart.
VIVO Italian Kitchen’s sleek, newly designed modern setting boasts an open expo kitchen and prides itself on serving heirloom family recipes as part of each carefully prepared meal. Particularly noteworthy are the house made pastas, pizza dough and Italian loaf bread, prepared from scratch, fresh to order. Vivo also has an excellent wine selection, and opens daily at 11am. Don’t be afraid to venture out of your comfort zone and try their regional dishes, you won’t be disappointed. We’ve also sampled lunch at Vivo, you can find the article here.
