Each year the WGAW honors the writing nominees of the Primetime Emmy Awards at their Sublime Primetime panel featuring a stellar line-up of Emmy-nominated television writers who shared behind-the-scenes stories and personal insights about the creative process of making their shows a hit!
The event was co-presented by the Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW), the Writers Guild Foundation (WGF), and Variety, with proceeds benefitting the Foundation. WGAW President Howard A. Rodman and Variety Executive Editor, TV Debra Birnbaum introduced the evening which was moderated by Emmy-winning writer and Better Call Saul sta,r Bob Odenkirk.
The paneliests included Emmy-nominated writers: Scott Alexander & Larry Karaszewski (The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story), Joel Fields & Joe Weisberg (The Americans), Alex Gregory & Peter Huyck (Veep), Marti Noxon & Sarah G. Shapiro (UnREAL), Carolyn Omine (The Simpsons), and Alex Rubens (Key & Peele).
