New York Fashion week took over New York City from February 11th to today, the 16th. Some of the best looks hot off the runway are already, ready to join your fashion collection.
Finally, after a several-season hiatus (our small death) from in-person shows New York Fashion week came back in full force to New York City (we’re still mourning Tom Ford cancelling his show though). Because of the past digital only fashion shows due to the pandemic, there has come a silver lining. With the return of in-person fashion week, many designers seem to be not only equipped for live streaming their shows post-pandemic, but they’re also moving more seamlessly into the see now, buy now model that was once reserved for only a few digitally-savvy brands. This season, designers like Altuzarra, Sergio Hudson, LaQuan Smith, and Jason Wu had their shows live streamed on NYFW.com with the option to shop directly from the show while the models were simultaneously making their way down the catwalk in real-time. Meanwhile, designers like Rodarte, Altuzarra, and Oscar de la Renta streamed their runway shows for New York Fashion Week via Amazon Live with the ability to watch and shop simultaneously where their runway looks populated on Amazon’s Luxury Stores. Although the world of see now, buy now is still somewhat in Beta form, we’re all about it.
Here are links to some of our favorite curated looks from this year’s NYFW runways that went live for sales as soon as the models hit the runways.
There are many, many more designers who joined the see now, buy now movement we’re seeing in 2022, but those are just a taste of our favorites. Let us know your thoughts on this new model. Personally? We’re excited.
