The 44th annual Daytime Emmy Awards are wrapped and done!

On Sunday April 30, Hollywood’s finest showed up to recognize and celebrate achievements within all areas of television. Likewise, talk show hosts alongside actors and actresses alike competed against each other within the night’s top categories.

“What a fantastic evening to be celebrating the life and blood of Daytime television in the magnificent Pasadena Civic Auditorium,” said Bob Mauro, President of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). “The National Academy is excited to be honoring these esteemed nominees.”

Among the night’s top earners includes of Mary Hart of “Entertainment Tonight.” Hart was honored last night with a Lifetime Achievement award for her efforts within the world of televised entertainment news.

“Mary’s charm, wit, and intelligence made her the most trusted anchor in the genre of entertainment news,” Mauro said. “We raise a glass to her long career and all the men and women who make Daytime television one of the staples of the entertainment industry.”

General Hospital, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and Steve Harvey were also among the night’s top earners.

EXTRA‘s Mario Lopez naturally stepped up to host the show with the help of The Talk‘s Sheryl Underwood. Max Ehrich of The Young & the Restless gave a special musical performance of “Hallelujah” for the in memoriam segment. As well, several star-studded presenters were also in attendance for the ceremony, including: Tim Allen, Harry Connick, Jr., and Margaret Cho.
