Generosity Water held their 5th Annual “Night of Generosity” Benefit at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel. The charity event was hosted by E! News personalities, Catt Sadler and Jason Kennedy. The organization’s goal is to raise awareness and funds to end the clean water crisis in developed countries. Last year’s “Night of Generosity” raised over $150,000 and impacted more than 15,000 people by bringing 30 water projects to Haiti, Ghana and Ethiopia.
This year the aim is to surpass that by raising over $400,000 and bring clean water to 40,000 people. Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars came out to support the cause, including special presenters: Brian Austin Green, Jef Holm (The Bachelorette), Jerry Ferrara (Entourage), Chris Harrison (Host of The Bachelor), LaMonica Garrett (Sons of Anarchy), Chrishell Stause (All My Children), Stephen Colletti (One Tree Hill), Francia Raisa (The Secret Life of the American Teenager) and many more.
There were performances by JoJo, Guy Sebastian, Mariah McManus, Anthony Evans Jr. and Marielle Jaffe.
When asked why the organization was so important to him, Brian Austin Green said, “It should be important to everyone if water is the number one killer around the world. More people die from contaminated water than AIDS, hunger and war combined. 10,000 people a day on average die from unclean water and it’s something that I think we take advantage of. We take for granted that we can go and buy it or I can turn on my faucet and I know I’m not going to die.” Brian’s wife, Megan Fox was scheduled to attend and be a presenter also, but he told us that she stayed home due to not feeling well. Megan is pregnant with the couple’s second child.
Guests enjoyed a three-course dinner, live music, dance performance, interactive exhibits and a silent auction. For more information about Generosity Water and donating to a water project, visit the website: http://www.generositywater.com.
