The Power of Taylor Swift

It’s official, outside of having a sold out nationwide and worldwide concert tour, Taylor Swift is gearing up to be a Box Office Queen. The Exorcist: Believer has moved up one week to avoid a Taylor Swift showdown.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock you probably know that Taylor Swift’s Eras tour is coming to the big screen on October 13th. And if you didn’t know, well, now you do. Meanwhile, the horror sequel will now debut on Oct. 6 nationwide. How long did this switch in scheduling take to happen you ask? The move came mere hours after Taylor Swift announced that a concert film from her Eras tour would arrive in theaters on Oct. 13. The Exorcist was initially set to debut that same day, but quickly relocated because of the overlap between Swift fans and the projected audience for the horror sequel. Within a day of the concert film dates going live, seat maps at numerous AMC locations, including Los Angeles and New York, showed numerous nearly full seat maps for the Swift concert pic over the Oct. 13-15 weekend.

Taylor Swift is here to revitalize not only the economy but cinema as well. She has the golden touch.
